Our project empowers you to participate and enjoy the Arts. Throughout the programme you will have the opportunity to work towards an Arts Award which is the Arts Council's nationally recognised qualification. Each programme will end with a celebration event and performance.
Aims:
To provide young people with opportunities, skills, knowledge and confidence to gain employment or go on to further education.
To create an introduction to the arts industry
To support young people with gaining an Arts Award
To provide a practical insight into the wide range of opportunities in further education and employment within the arts industry
Programme Key Worker:
Provides reports and updates to referring agencies
Carries out initial assessments with referrals as to the suitability for the course
Supports young people on the programme
Assess young people throughout their Arts Award
Arranges appropriate off site visits and placements
Acts as an advocate and represents young people on their case loads
Establishes exit routes with college and employers
Recruiting NOW!
Recruiting young people aged 15 - 19 yrs has now started for the Breeze Arts Foundation 2012 January – March course. The next block is a ten week performing arts course. Young people will have the opportunity to look into the theatre industry, develop their drama and performance skills, learn about costume and design and develop their creative skills by designing and making their own costumes. All young people will have the opportunity to gain a Bronze or Silver Arts Award which is the arts councils nationally recognised qualification.
The Breeze Arts Foundation performing arts block will run from Wednesday 18th January 2012 - Thursday 29th March
(Every Wednesday & Thursday) 9.30am – 3.00pm based at First Floor in Leeds City Centre.
