Leeds Children's Mayor Candidate: Queensway Primary School

If I was Children’s Mayor of Leeds I would make children ready for the future and prepare them for work by teaching practical skills in a club called “CareerKidz”.

CareerKidz would take place in leisure centres, town centres, and gyms and would allow children to learn skills like friendship, advertising, craftsmanship, money handling and more!

I think CareerKidz is an awesome idea because:

>It will reduce unemployment by a great amount.

>Allow people to get work in jobs that they never thought they could.

>Allow children to have a better understanding of their future.

>Stop Poverty before it happens.

CareerKidz would be split into several age groups from Primary school to College, as different ages have different understandings of Work and Careers.

CareerKidz would teach life skills whilst still keeping it fun. Please choose my idea as this would help both the next generation and the Economy. Plus it would mean the WORLD to me.

Your manifesto is concise and to the point with ideas that are very workable'. Leeds, in common with the rest of the country, is feeling the effects of an economic downturn. An understanding of what is needed through easily accessible information and help for children of all ages seems to me to be a simple and effective way of acquiring the knowledge to move forward. Everyone needs to have an understanding of the skills needed in life in these difficult economic times to enable them to reach their full potential.
