Leeds Let's Get Active

There's a new scheme to encourage everyone to take at least 30 mins of physical activity once a week.  Pop along to your local leisure centre to take part in free sessions!
Leeds Let’s Get Active supports people to become active by providing free access to leisure centres and community sports and activities within a supportive and welcoming environment citywide, and open to all.

What's on offer?
Free use of all Leeds City Council leisure centres during selected activity sessions, daily. Typically one free hour every day (off peak) with an additional hour per day for four leisure centres:

John Charles Centre for Sport
Armley
Fearnville
Middleton

First off there's free gym and swim - except at Middleton where a bespoke programme has been developed including fitness classes and a variety of racket sports available.

The offer may change as the programme develops.

Free use of community multi-sport sessions: activities will include beginners’ running, Health Walks and Active Family multi-sport activities and will be delivered in community park settings. (please book family activities, walking and running by calling 0113 3950001)

Pre-registration has already launched go to -  www.leedsletsgetactive.co.uk to sign up and get more information. Leeds Let’s Get Active sessions are available from Monday 30th September 2013.
