The Big Dance 2012

Everyone’s invited to a massive day of dance performances, workshops and surprises to celebrate the culmination in Yorkshire of Big Dance 2012 on 15th July 2012 10:00am - 5:00pm, Millennium Square
Big Dance 2012 is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of dance. Between 18 May and 15 July thousands of events inspired by dance are taking place across the UK. They are taking place in all sorts of locations and in all dance styles which will all be open to absolutely anyone. Big Dance is about people dancing – everyone, everywhere.
Come and join us for Big Dance – Celebration and get a taste of the exciting, fun and wonderful dance activity that has taken place across Yorkshire as part of Big Dance 2012.
Your celebrity comperes include Rich Williams (Radio Aire) and performance poet Testament, with some surprises to be announced!

Ponydance, Anybody Waitin’
Keiradance, Threads
Simon Birch, Terrarium – Dance in a Bubble (extract)
Phoenix Dance Theatre, Signal (extract)
Join in the mass dance, The Yorkshire Flock, inspired by the people, animals and landscape of Yorkshire.
Take part in any of the dance workshops throughout the day.
