DSL Youth Dance

Jazz, musical theatre, commercial street classes for 13 - 19 year olds.
The classes will work on technique, flexibility, strength, stamina, pick up speed, and performance skills to help develop them as versatile dancers.
Guest teachers will deliver adhoc masterclasses to allow the dancers the chance to train with other industry professionals and try new styles including contemporary, break dancing, house, street, commercial jazz, musical theatre and more!
The dancers will also be given the opportunity to perform and enter competitions and events. Previous performances include: Fashion Shows, Miss Leeds 2011 Final, Breeze, Leeds Festival Fringe on Briggate, Leeds Rocks, Drive in Movie events, Yelp Exchange at the Corn Exchange, HeadingOut’s Children in Need Dance Competition, Planet Leeds, NSCD Community Dance Platform, FRESH, and Born to Shine Roadshow with members of Diversity.
Level: This course is suitable for those with prior dance experience and who are committed to developing themselves as a dancer and performer.
Time: 5-6pm every Tuesday during school term time.
Prices: £35 for 7 week half termly block, £5.50 drop in price.
