Do you want to be part of Leeds’ biggest international youth festival? Deadline for applications extended to 22nd December 2012.Do you want to perform at the Carriageworks or on our open air stage on Briggate? Are you or your group aged between 13 – 19? Are you able to perform between Wednesday 30 May – Sunday 10 June 2012? If the answer is yes to these questions then please fill out the application form attached here and send in a dvd of a short performance. The Breeze International Youth Festival is an annual festival for young people, by young people. We want to provide opportunities for young people to participate, attend and contribute to the arts in Leeds by celebrating the highest quality work created by young people across the city. We are looking for the best groups from Leeds to perform at our events during the festival from Wednesday 30 May – Sunday 10 June 2012. During the festival there will also be events and activities happening through the period, keep checking www.breezeleeds.org/biyf for more information. We are looking for groups and solo performers aged 13-19 to perform at the festival and we want to showcase the best talent across the city and beyond. The selection will be made by young people, who are part of the BIYF crew, (if you want to be a part of the selection group please email biyf@leeds.gov.uk). To submit an entry please fill in the application form which can be downloaded here. The deadline for submissions is 22nd December.
