Kiwis Rugby League Team Prove All Gold for Leeds School teamsDate: 14 Nov 2007 Six Leeds High schools - Bruntcliffe, Cardinal Heenan, John Smeaton, Priesthorpe, Rodillian and West Leeds High Schools were able to train, play against and ask questions of the New Zealand Rugby League team and their coaches on Wednesday 31 October. 120 young people played numerous games of touch-rugby against the New Zealand world super stars. After the games sessions the Kiwi coaching staff led the students in a series of training sessions that are used by the New Zealand teams themselves. Breeze On Tour 2006 KirkstallDate: 30 Aug 2006 This year's Breeze on Tour draws bows out with two days in the grounds at Kirkstall Abbey. This was the first time that the event had visited here, and judging, by the photographs everyone had a fantastic time. |
breeze welcomes Northern TraxDate: 23 Aug 2006 On 2nd September Millennium Square will be hosting the breeze welcomes Northern Trax event. The confirmed line-up is: Chart-climbing group The View - www.theviewareonfire.com NorthernTrax competition winners - The Humour - www.thehumour.com Ethereal goth, grunge and indie rock band, Sunflies - www.sunflies.co.uk Accoustic group, the Delphians - www.paullidel.com Acid jazz and soul funksters - Chicino - www.chicino.net Also confirmed are Fabulous 23, Pleasure Cell and the Anti-Depressants Breezecard holders can get their free tickets from Breeze on Tour at Kirktsall Abbey on 24 and 25 August. Anyone else can collect free tickets from: - Crash Records, (The Headrow), Jumbo Records (St John Centre), Gateway Yorkshire, (Leeds City Station) and the Carriageworks (Millennium Square). Tickets are limited so get sorted now. |
