GUERILLA ARTISTS FAMILY ART WORKSHOPS Be inspired by objects in the collection to create your own immense masterpiece. An ideal activity for groups of friends for that special day out. • Saturday 8 May 2010 ~ SPACE MONKEYS & SPUTNIK Join the Space race, in this exploration of the cold war. Build your own art rockets using alka seltzer, water, paint & bottles. Then create your own artwork featuring a monkey splattered cosmos. • Saturday 10 July 2010 ~ FLING OUT YOUR DEAD! Investigate the destructive power of medieval siege machines & warfare, drawing inspiration from the Maciejowsky bible (c1240). Build your own device from withies & doweling, load and fire your painty projectiles to build a medieval masterpiece. • Saturday 11 September 2010 ~ SUGAR SKULLS & SOULS Inspired by Dia de los Muertos, we explore how nations clashed during the fight for power in the Americas. With Montezuma, Conquistadors and Elizabeth I all going head-to-head in the struggle to control the ‘New World’. Location: Carr Manor High School Specialist Sports College
Gymnastics sessions ran by fully qualified gymnastic teachers. Two sessions, first one is 4pm-5pm which is for years 1-3. The next one is 5pm-6pm for years 4-6. The course is £19.80 for 12 weeks and includes badges and certificates from the British Gymnastics association. The first session is on 14th September. Please note, it is not a 2 hour session, they are 2 separate hours depending on age group. Please don't just turn up on the sessions. Forms need to be collected to register your child on the course (form attached.)
