• Saturday 8 May 2010 ~ SPACE MONKEYS & SPUTNIK
Join the Space race, in this exploration of the cold war. Build your own art rockets using alka seltzer, water, paint & bottles. Then create your own
artwork featuring a monkey splattered cosmos.
• Saturday 10 July 2010 ~ FLING OUT YOUR DEAD!
Investigate the destructive power of medieval siege machines & warfare, drawing inspiration from the Maciejowsky bible (c1240). Build your own device from withies & doweling, load and fire your painty projectiles to build a medieval masterpiece.
• Saturday 11 September 2010 ~ SUGAR SKULLS & SOULS
Inspired by Dia de los Muertos, we explore how nations clashed during the fight for power in the Americas. With Montezuma, Conquistadors and Elizabeth I all going head-to-head in the struggle to control the ‘New World’.
Create your own decorated or bejewelled skull fit for the Day of the Dead.
