City of Leeds Youth Training Orchestra

We meet every Friday during term time (6 - 8pm) in the Rehearsal Room at The West Park Centre.

We play a wide range of music - anything from Bach to James Bond (and beyond).

Players of all orchestral instruments (strings, woodwind, brass and percussion) can join the group and our members ages range from ten to eighteen.

For most instruments the music we play is around Grade 5 level but you don't need to have taken any exams to belong. Our conductors, Jo Richardson and Stephen Wild, are always happy to discuss any questions you might have about this.

CLYTO gives concerts three times a year. These are often shared with other CLYM groups and take place at West Park, in venues across the City, and further afield like Keswick in the Lake District, Crich Transport Museum in Derbyshire, York University and Newby Hall near Lightwater Valley.

If you are interested in joining CLYTO, please download an Application Form from our website or contact us on 0113 230 4074.  We hold auditions in June for entry in the following September, but late applicants may be auditioned later in the year.
