Find a new way of moving, improve your fitness and let your creativity flourish at Northern Ballet in Leeds. For wheelchair users of any age who will engage in the creative process, this course will give you the freedom to learn to dance in a safe, friendly and suportive environment. 'in motion' will give you the confidence to move in a way you have never done before both in and out of your chair.

Art Club gives children aged over two years a unique opportunity to express themselves freely through art in a safe & friendly environment. They are encouraged to use their initiative & imagination and are provided with all the materials & resources to experiment & explore as much as they wish! We explore different materials and new techniques in fine art and craft based activities. Projects include clay hand building and glazing, painting, wire sculptures, junk modelling, sculptures, drawing techniques . Each individual matters and can dictate what they want to do. Personal creativity is key and each child works at own level and own project. Various classes take place in the ArtBugs Studio in Stanningley, Pudsey. Children aged 11 plus will also have the opportunity to gain a Arts Award.

ArtBugs is an Arts Award centre and has a trained advisor to support bronze and silver level qualification for 11 - 25 year olds. ArtBugs will be running arts award workshops from April. WHAT IS ARTS AWARD? Arts Award supports young people to develop as artists and arts leaders. We want to inspire children and young people aged 11 - 25 to enjoy the arts. We offer the chance to develop creative and leadership skills, and get recognised through our national qualifications. Doing an Arts Award develops your arts knowledge, your creative an communication skills, and your ability to lead projects. An Arts Award is useful when looking for further education and job opportunities - in the arts or other fields. There are no entry requirements, no time limit for completing the award, and no set rules on how you present your final work (portfolio, sketchbook, video). The only thing you need is to be aged between 11 and 25, and ready to explore new creative experiences.

One of the most popular and graceful forms of dance in the world comes to Hunslet and we welcome anyone from beginners trying it out for the first time to advanced dancers keen to progress through exams, competitions and showcasing opportunities. Taught by Philippa, the Hunslet Club’s new Arts Development Worker. Philippa trained at Bretton Hall, The University of Leeds, to gain her BA (Hons) Dance International degree. She is a qualified dance teacher through the I.D.T.A. Philippa has taught dance and choreographed shows throughout West Yorkshire. Our ballet 4 tots sessions are designed to give children aged 18 months to 4 years the chance to make their first dancing steps together with a parent of carer. Sessions will be fun and lively giving the child the chance to grow and develop with a focus on balance and co-ordination, newcomers always welcome.
