Feel Good Leeds...

...because if we all join in, we can.

Did you know...

... by doing just five pieces of physical activity a week you can dramatically improve your health, wellbeing and fitness.

Your five activities don’t have to be a trip to the gym or a sports activity, there’s lots of things you can do in everyday life that are just as good for you. Whatever you do as long as it gets your pulse racing and your muscles working, it all counts.

Washing the car for Mum or Dad, cleaning your room or playing out with your friends can all be just as good for you as a game of football or tennis. You could even try combining the two. You could walk to your local leisure centre then go for a swim (as part of Swim to Win of course) – easy, two activities done for the week!

A bit of inspiration
Here’s five ways to help you feel good:

Be a good sport.
Take one up. Sport is a great way to exercise, and there are loads of clubs you wan join. Search the Breeze site for an activity near you.

Do a chore.
Why not get active by doing some chores around the house? You could always try and crack a deal with your Mum or Dad to be rewarded for it!

Something to chew over.
A healthy diet can make you look and feel fantastic, and it’s really easy to eat better! Start with a banana in your lunch box.

Gym’ll fix it.
Bodyline gyms are great places to keep in shape! Junior weights sessions take place across the city, so search for one near you.

Don’t worry, be happy.
Emotional wellbeing is as important as physical health. If you’re down in the dumps, don’t bottle things up, chat to a friend. You know what they say, a problem shared is a problem halved.
