Everyone will work will musicians of a similar age and ability… and it doesn’t have to be rock music - you choose the music you want to play.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Form a new band with like minded people of their own age and interests
• Learn how to play songs by their favourite artists
• Write their own, brand new material
• Record all their work in a professional recording studio
• Discuss career/education options within the music industry

Then at the end of the week, perform with their new band for all their friends and family at a major music venue in Leeds City Centre, the Wardrobe.

All Rock School UK time and work can be submitted towards BTEC and GCSE modules
During the week, participants are tutored and mentored by a team of professional musicians and practitioners, led by former Nightmares on Wax drummer, and Rock School UK Director, Isaac Heywood. Isaac’s experience within the music industry is extremely expansive, having played with artists as varied as Meat Loaf, Angie Stone, Lee Ryan, Omar, Corrine Bailey Rae, and headlined many festivals including The Big Chill and Glastonbury.
The Rock School UK finale Gig and Presentation at the end of each week allows friends, family and teachers to share in the children's success. The chance to see them play on the same stage as some of the biggest names in popular music is one that really can’t be missed!
