Free Creative Workshops for 16-19 year olds

As Part of Breeze Festival 2015, Assembly House Studios are hosting a series of 5 workshops for young people aged 16-19 in May half term.
Assembly House is an artist-run organization that provides permanent studio spaces to around 30 young creatives, and hosts a monthly programme of exhibitions and events.
In May half term 2015 (25th-29th May) we will be taking part in Breeze festival, and putting on a 5 day series of workshops for young people ages 16-19. The workshops will explore different artistic techniques, and over the week participants will bind the works they have made into artist’s books. The finished books along with any other artworks will then be displayed in an exhibition at Assembly House’s dedicated gallery space during Breeze Festival (18-15th July).
The young people involved with the workshops will be given the opportunity to choose which techniques they wish to learn, and to work together towards planning, promoting and hanging the final exhibition.

Priority places for the workshops will be given to disadvantaged young people from the LS12 area, with remaining places being allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. There are a maximum of 20 available places.
